Would someone benefit from a chiropractic adjustment after an event like auto accident?

Question by Bashful Bondage Bunny: Would someone benefit from a chiropractic adjustment after an event like auto accident?
If they werent hurt, just bumps and bruises type thing. I was t-boned the other day and i came out of the driver’s seat and smacked into passenger window. I just don’t feel good. Do they just do spines? Can they do my shoulder?
I mean, would being thrown around and smacking into a hard surface and whatnot do something to how the bones line up?

Bashful, you have to ask yourself a question. Are you making this incident out to be a legal case or not. If you are then you can go to a chiropractor but in the end you are still going to have to see a regular doctor as the insurance companies do not recognize chiropractors as medical experts. If you are not then my advice to you is to try these movements to see if they help to reduce the amount of irritation that you are experiencing. Sit in a straight chair and raise your left arm as high above the head as possible. Note the height achieved when doing this and then bring the arm back down. Now do the right arm. You are going to notice that one arm went up higher than the other so start with the arm that went up the highest first. Raise that arm up as high as you can for 30 seconds and then rest it for 15 seconds. Repeat this cycle twice more and then upon completing that arm do the opposite arm exactly the same way 3 times. Next keep your feet and hips planted and twist as far to the left as you can. Note the endpoint and then twist the body as far to the right as possible. You are going to find that one direction turns further so start in that direction first. Twist the body as far to that side as possible for 30 seconds and then rest for 15 seconds. Repeat this twice more and then do the same in the opposite direction 3 times. Lastly, roll your left hip outward as far as you can. Try to raise the left foot up when doing this attempting to get it parallel to the floor. Note how much rotation was achieved and then do the same on the right. Again start with the leg that rotated the furthest. Rotate that hip as far as you can for 30 seconds and then rest for 15 seconds. Repeat this twice more and then do the same on the opposite side 3 times. Upon completion get up and move around. There should be more movement in the shoulders as well as your back. Do these movements at least twice a day. If your neck is also bothering you do this. While sitting turn the head to the left as far as you can and note the endpoint then do the same to the right. Start in the direction that has the most rotation first. Turn in that direction as hard and far as you can for 30 seconds then rest for 15 seconds. Repeat this twice more and then do the same on the opposite side 3 times. This should loosen you up and keep you pain free.
