Dude…Mustang? Everyone drives Mustangs these days…I’d pick a Cadillac XLR over a Mustang any day.

Well, I guess it depends what KIND of Mustang. If it was an ’07 Shelby, I’d take the mustang. Other than that, the Cadillac.

But personally, I’d take a Trans Am over any of those…

i agree with some parts of the opinions,

the term “sports car” is sometimes misleading

i prefer the Cadillac XLR to be called 2-door coupe-convertible, rather than a sports car, Cadillac XLR is similar to Chrysler LeBaron Coupe in the mid 80s. Cadillac XLR’s basic design and origin is a sedan by the way.

Mustang is the legendary American sports car similar to Corvette, Pontiac Trans Am, Camaro, Although, there is a vacuum of some tens of years that Mustang dont come out to the market. So people know Corvette, Trans Am, Camaro, these three come out regularly every year.

Besides sports car, there are few terms that sounds similar, exotic car and supercar. Vector (US) is said to be a supercar, while Ferraris and Lamborghini to be a sport car or exotic car. The price range can also make it more confusing.

But in general, looks like everybody refers to the term sport car, as in cheap sport car, medium and expensive/exotic top of the line sport car. Bugatti, one of the fastest sport car (about 250 mph max) has a price tag of about twice (or more) of a regular Ferrari or Lamborghini.
