Definately not this season they car is far slower than the Mclaren’s Ferraris and even BMW even with Alonso driving for them.

You never no what their car will be like though for 2009 they might make big improvements to the car and with the new regulations next year with restrictions on aerodynamics then they will be closer to the top and on a crazy race like Canada they could get a win again. But it will probably be a while till they win again

i think next season because renault are now focusing on improving the car for 2009. If its not improved then alonso said he will leave the team.

Winning, actually???
About 2 seasons from now. They really need to put those cars into a better condition, but for that they need more time.

The Renault Alonso was driving when he won his 2 champs was far more stable than this one he and Piquet are driving.

They could get points, though. That’s more likely than podiums.

It won’t be this season. I’ll be very surprised if they even make the podium. The car is improving and maybe by next year they’ll regain their 2005/06 form which won them the doubles.

…if they changed the color of their car to light blue, same color as before, and remove the ugly shark fin.

Probably next year although it seems that Nelson Piquet Jr. is a bust.

Not this year ‘cos the car is not as good as it was 2 years ago…

It really depends on the their own improvement versus other teams improvements. They made a mistake earlier last year which has pushed them back.

They are continueing to improve their car, but the other teams are also improving their own cars as well. Hopefully, by next season.

Can you guys imagine a fourway battle! Ferrari vs. McLaren vs. BMW vs. Renault

That would make for one of the best and most competitive season ever! I hope it happens!

Maybe a win this season, otherwise next year for sure.
