Can I preorder an alfa at this point as well? And how do you know which towns they will be in if they are coming to the u.s?

Fiat wants to buy chrysler so they can start selling the fiat 500 in the America through chrysler dealerships. It would be at least until 2012.
So the Fiat 500 will definately come.

As for Alfa Romeo, they have no plans on bringing any cars to America.
GM sold Saturn to Roger Penske who plans to use Saturn to bring European cars to America in 2014. So it is a possibility that Alfa Romeo will bring cars to America under the Saturn name.

Alfa Romeo has been rumored to be re-entering the U.S. market for ages now. Just last year, they pulled all former dealers’ rights to use the Alfa name, supposedly in preparation for a return to the U.S. where they would be wanting all dealers to reapply for factory status. The people at the Ferrari dealer here in town said Alfa had brought over several cars to the west coast for testing, but nothing yet has come of it. I’ll believe it when Alfa makes an official announcement.

But you won’t be able to order any Alfa (let alone successfully register it here) until the U.S. has an established dealer network again…if and whenever.

Fiat is rumored to have plans to import several models to the U.S., now that they’ve brokered a merger with Chrysler. But again, they’ve made no official announcement…so I wouldn’t hold my breath.
