Question by Antoinette O: What is the name of the tool used to disable the 4- wheel drive when repairing front brakes on a “93″ Ford Exp
Doing a front brake job on a 93 ford explorer, looking for the name of the tool that disables the 4-wheel drive.
Also need to replace rotors not just the brake pads.

you don’t need a tool to disable four wheel in order to replace brake pads not sure what you are tring to do

On this year model it should be as simple as removing the wheel, then gently tapping on the hub with a soft faced hammer and pulling gently on the hub to remove it. The rest should be pretty simple. Some of these have brass looking washers holding the hub from sliding off, you should be able to remove these with a pair of pliers.

no tool needed, the pads replace the same as any other vehicle, sounds like someone is trying to rip you off
