What dirt bike is best for an adult beginner?

Question by AEToys: What dirt bike is best for an adult beginner?
My son and I have just started getting into dirt bikes. We are getting him a Honda CRF50F. I am looking for a bike for myself. I don’t want a bike that’s to small for me but I don’t want a bike that is to big that I end up killing myself. Any input will help. Thanks!

sounds like you should consider a medium capacity 4-stroke, with electric start. Since you’re a beginner you might find it harder to get used to a 2-stroke 250cc as opposed to a 4-stroke 250 or 400cc. Honda XR250/CRF models etc

kick start may not be your thing, so go for one with an elec start.

nice honda is the best choice by far just because they last longer and keep their value. Now i would say if your over 200 Ibs. go with a crf250 (nice) if you are under 200Ibs. crf150, the 4 strokes will be better for you since alot of beginers can’t get used to the powerband to fast.

You didn’t mention your size, but a CRF230 or CRF250 would be your best bet. The 250 is almost twice the price of the 230 and a good bit taller. If you just plan to do casual trail riding get the 230 if it isn’t too short for you.
