Volkswagen Eos Gets an Owner’s Club Before it Has an Owner

The Volkswagen Eos is one of the most anticipated new vehicles not only in North America, but also the world. Having a 7 piece convertible hard top that also sports a moonroof is what really sets this auto apart from the crowd. So how anticipated is this convertible? Well, it seems it has grabbed so much attention that it already has a owner’s club, even though, not one, has been sold.

Eosownersclub.com was founded and is administrated by Ken Nix, who you may know from his highly successful Volkswagen GTI site, http://www.myfastgti.com. Nix had his GTI site up within days of Volkswagen’s 2006 GTI site. MyFastGti.com is one of the fastest growing VW sites on the net. With a team roster that sounds more like a who’s who of motorsports than a staff list.

Of course it didn’t hurt that Volkswagen mentioned Nix’s site during their interview with Business Week. Seems Nix must have an inside line as he not only has video of the operation of the new Eos’s convertible top but has actually driven the Eos in one of the most agressive drives to date.

Nix’s review of the EOS can be found at EosOwnersClub.com, which Nix administrates. Nix chose the name Tithanos as his “handle” on the site. When asked why, he replied that Tithanos was the mortal who was in love with the Goddess of the dawn, Eos. “It just seemed fitting” said Nix.

Nix is expecting EosOwnersClub.com to be even bigger than his GTI site. “It’s really the only, Eos exclusive, site on the net that we can find. We are really catering to the Eos enthusiast. With test drives 10 times harder than anything you’ll ever put your EOS through you’ll know what to expect of the car.” says Nix.

Quality and Reliability, that is the message that the new Volkswagen is not only projecting, but also delivering. With J.D. Powers and Associates initial quality scores showing off Volkswagen’s new commitment to quality and Dr. Wolfgang Bernhard at the helm, Nix believes Volkswagen will set a pace that Asian manufactures will struggle to keep up with.

So what does Nix really think of Dr. Bernhard? “I haven’t seen anyone with this much passion for excellence since Dr. Tom Peters”, replied Nix. Peters was the co-author of the best seller, In Search Of Excellence. Nix says he has a lot of respect for Dr. Bernhard, he has proven he can do the job. If he can turn around Chrysler, just imagine what he can do with a product like Volkswagen.
