United States Buick Collector Launches Website Dedicated to 1960 Buicks

Mr. Greg Cockerill, owner of perhaps the lowest mileage 1960 Buick convertible in the world, premiered a new website dedicated to his LeSabre and all 1960 Buicks. Mr. Cockerill’s delta-wing LeSabre has only 10,000 actual miles and has been featured in many vintage collector car publications. 1960 Buick Styling

Buick’s 1960 styling was adapted from Buick’s experimental 2 seat XP-75 Skylark coupe hand-built by GM Styling in 1957. Engineering

Buick’s 1960 models touted many engineering firsts that made Buick stand out. Aluminum drum brakes made Buick’s brakes the best in the industry. Buick’s Turbine Drive transmission was the smoothest in the business – the transmission operated without the annoying shifts so common in lesser makes. Further, unique to Buick was the Mirro-Magic instrument panel. Viewing of the instruments could be adjusted with just a dial.
