I’m not a mechanic but it helps me determine if that CEL is something I need to take care of immediately, or its the simple ‘gas cap’ warning.

This is not like other scan tools which can only read vw made for the US market only. It displays the codes by date and the back of the manual has all their causes. <br /> <br />Unfortunately the manual is completely useless in explaining how to get your codes.
