This replacement filter is not the same quality that Acura installs in the car. The OEM filter has more structural rigidity which fits better & the OEM filter has charcoal impregnated filter material. This filter may work OK & the price is much lower than Acura would charge but I think I will stay with the OEM filter next time.

Replacing this filter was recommended at 30,000 miles, with a non-dealer charge of around $60 (Dealer charge probably would’ve been higher).

This item included detailed instructions which made the removal/installation of the filter VERY easy — it took no more than five minutes. My filter had been in there for 30K miles and 21 months — it was CLOGGED with debris. Replacing the filter improved airflow and cut down on the crud in the air.

Highly recommend if it becomes available again (I ordered mine 7/6/2008)

The TYC Cabin Air filter is a good product. The quality is not there, but the price is excellent. The paper filter is cheap in quality. I recommend purchasing a filter from a store instead of online. This way you can see the actual product and compare it to others. Had I done so, I believe I would have passed on this product. However, the price was the thing that persuaded me to purchase it – especially when you see how much more the competitors prices are.

This TYC filter is fine for the price. It fits perfectly in the OEM spot and appears decently close to OEM quality. If this were an engine filter, I’d probably say go for something a little better in quality. But for a cabin filter, it’s fine. Installation was SO simple. The hardest part was finding somewhere to put all the junk from my glove compartment during the installation, which took all of 4 minutes in total. The instructions that come with it were taken in (what looks like) an Acura TL, but they were indentical in the procedure to my Accord. You really can’t go wrong for this price, so don’t hesitate. Like a previous reviewer said, it DEFINITELY beats the rip off $70 charge at the dealership.

Can’t really give a good review yet. Seemed like it was made out of cheaper material than the original filter. Cheaper than the auto store and easier to find online. Guess I’ll have to see how well it holds up, then I can give a better account.
