Toolbox Visit Rockingham BTCC Race as Guests of Silverline Tools

Evesham based E-commerce giant Toolbox celebrated the launch of sister site Silverline Toolbox with a corporate hospitality trip to Rockingham race track to see the British Touring Cars in action, provided courtesy of Silverline Tools who proudly sponsor one of the teams.

The highly anticipated event consisted of not only three BTCC races, but also the Ginettas, Porsche Carreras and Renault Clio Cups.

Silverline Chevrolet driver Jason Plato had been in the news the previous day following an altercation on the track with rival driver Matt Neal after both cars collided during the qualifying session and that heated things up for the day in which Plato won race one, finished fourth in race two and completed his day with a fifth place finish behind eventual leader James Nash.

Anthony Langston, Website Administrator of Silverline Toolbox commented: “It was a great day out and credit must go to our host Simon who did everything possible to make our day a fantastic one. We got to learn the secrets of the Chevrolet team and how their car works although details of which I cannot reveal. The highlight of the day for me had to be going onto the track before race two and getting up close to the cars and the tracks girls”.

Silverline’s continued support and involvement with the Touring Cars follows the very successful 2009 sponsorship in which RML achieved an amazing 11 victories with – 7 of them going to Jason Plato. Silverline’s loyalty to sponsoring worthwhile sports does not stop there with successful partnerships in Power Boat Racing, Drag Racing and the Silverline Balloon.
