I’m 52. I have been in at least 10 auto accidents. One was my fault – it was pretty serious. I was going too fast and flipped and rolled my car. Totalled it. My rates went up after that one – 33 years ago.

The three most recent – in the last 2 years – were because GD cell phone yakkers weren’t paying attention and ran into me. In all 3 – I WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP!! I still have the same car – it has been repaired 3 times – and my rates did not go up.

My first and hopefully only care accident was last year (I was 14). My family and I had took a flight to new York and landed somewhere that was four hours away from our real destination (It was a lake house fours hours out of buffolo, NY). So, our grandparents were staying in a house my our lake house at the time, and meet us at the air port. My grandma offerd to drive my mother, me, my older sister and my brother the four hours while my grandpa and dad drove together. My grandma was driving, my mother in the passenger seet, I behind my grandma, my brother next to me (We were in the bucket seats, it was a mini van, and my sis behind us in the last row). We were driving over a hill and there was a revien/ditch on either side of us. The only thing they put up to stop people from accidently driving the cars in was wooden polls and wires. My grandma turned around to ask me something as her hand turned on the wheel and we began knocking into the polls. Finally, my mother grabbed the wheel and turned it to the left before we feel in the ditch. The car was tilted to the left (my and my grams side) we got out, called the police and such. Later, the car was considerd total, and when we asked how bad things could have been, the man said “You and your grandma may have died form the multiple turns it would have taken before hitting the ground. You sister, brother and mom may have been parolized. These things our fate. We weren’t ment to die…yet:(
