Should I get a BMW M3 or a Volkswagen R32?

Volkswagen R32

Question by Radman: Should I get a BMW M3 or a Volkswagen R32?
I have saved my money and am considering a used German car. For around $ 25K, I can get a 2003-2005 BMW M3 (e46) or a 2008 VW R32. The BMW has a higher performance envelope, but the R32 has AWD and I live in Colorado. However, I do not like R32 without the manual transmission option. I do have another 4WD vehicle for nasty conditions. Which would be the better purchase?

Id go with an audi a4, possibly an 07 or 08 with that money. Of your choices, its the BMW by a mile.

If you want a car thats luxurious with performance, I suggest a BMW over a VW.

Well BMW is the world renowned brand whether it is 2005 but still it is BMW man.

If you’ve already got a 4wd vehicle, then go for the M3. Another option you might consider would be an Audi S4. They’ve got all-wheel drive, and lots of power to boot. Plus the exhaust note is really nice.

Why don’t you think rationally? What do you want?Better performance or a AWD car.The BMW M3 is obviously better on the road and it’s obvious that it has better performance. But it’s not that good when the road is slippery, cause it’s harsh to drive that car with such power and because don’t forget that it’s FR.

Now about the VW.It’s a more compact car than the M3.It’s not so aggressive it produces less hp,but it’s better on the road when there are bad conditions. Its V6 engine is powerful, though not as the one the M3 has,but it is quite lazy and throttle response is not so good.So it’s less involving and rewarding to drive. They are different cars,so it’s your decision.

Has to be the M3 for me, its an absolute monster on the road and looks the part. The R32 just looks like an ordinary golf from a distance, though don’t get me wrong they are a very nice car. I think if you got a run in a manual M3 your mind would be made up. M3 M3 M3
