Steer clear and save your money!,
While these speakers had good fitment into the factory locations in my 2001 Dodge Dakota, I quickly realized that it wasn’t worth the effort. Please ignore what may appear to be quality construction in the pictures and in the specs. The workmanship on these made-in-China wonders is sloppy throughout, despite the high gloss and enormous magnet affixed to the basket. The poly in the description is, by no means, short for “polypropylene” (if I spelled that correctly), a high quality woofer component. In fact, I don’t know what the hell it could be other than just plain plastic. Another unfortunate shopper may see the sensitivity rating given for these speakers and assume that they are efficient. They are not and I am confident that regardless of the amount of power you supply to push them, the sound reproduction will always be lifeless and muffled with no amount of bass or midrange response pleasing to the ear. I didn’t waste my time installing the tweeters since I still had the factory installed Infinitys in the door; I doubt they would impress as well. For the price, of course I didn’t expect audiophile performance, but after installing them, I feel like Planet Audio SHOULD INSTEAD PAY US to listen to these awful speakers. If you’re just looking for a budget replacement for your current set, you won’t even find that here. Because you’ll be yanking them right out and spending your money on yet another DIFFERENT pair. Steer of clear of these underachievers!

I looked at the product stats on their home page but its hard to tell sometimes without listening to the speakers in person. I was NOT disappointed in them!! They have very nice mid-bass and the tweeter is clear and crisp. They might not compare to high-quality Bose or other expensive brands but they are actually better than my entry-level Rockford Fosgate components! I am very happy with them! I am only using my Pioneer CD player to power them, I bet they’d sound a LOT better with an aftermarket amplified powering them. Great value!!
