Nissan Pathfinder Review – Kelley Blue Book

FOR PRICING & SPECS ON THIS CAR VISIT: www.kbb.com Nissan Pathfinder. As modern SUVs become increasingly civilized its easy to forget that the U in SUV stands for utility. Some buyers need and want the straightforward utility, durability and performance provided by old-school SUVs like Nissans venerable Pathfinder. Welcome to our comprehensive Kelley Blue Book review of the Nissan Pathfinder. The Pathfinder is an SUV in the classical sense of the term. Its robust body-on-frame design pays dividends when towing a boat or exploring the less accessible parts of Americas wilderness. With three-row seating and an optional V8 engine, Nissans mid-size Pathfinder offers many of the traits buyers look for in a large SUV but in a smaller, more manageable package. I just bougth a 2006 model; however, I should of done more research on the fuel economy. I payed $50 at the pump. My 2004 MPV Mazda minivan has better mileage.

@DieselJeeps They do, just not in the States.

DieselJeeps says in November 23rd 2011 at 2:04 pm

Nissan needs to start putting diesel options in it’s truck and SUV models. Way overdue!

@BassinBrooks Well I’m 6’3” and I am very comfortable. The leather seats in the LE are very supportive and comfortable. Quite a bit of head room as well, plus the seat has power lumbar adjustment.

BassinBrooks says in November 23rd 2011 at 3:07 pm

Dear KBB, how well do you think the Pathfinder would accommodate a taller driver…say 6’6”? Thanks!

Zinizzle says in November 23rd 2011 at 4:05 pm

@democrat09 my 94 4runners body is almost all gone from the rust. Then again it was used. And it’s all about how you maintain them. And where you live.

democrat09 says in November 23rd 2011 at 4:21 pm

ill take the 2011 toyota 4runner sr5 any day over this, all though this isnt bad either, but nissan body on frames rust out quickly

noyu8 says in November 23rd 2011 at 5:00 pm

dam my 89 Pathfinder has none of this

djlat says in November 23rd 2011 at 5:30 pm

Just got the LE with a V8 and am starting to like it. Traded a Hummer H3 in for it and found it is not as nice or luxurious but can pull more than the I5 3.5L H3. This thing goes like hell with the V8 though.

gtvapsamtik says in November 23rd 2011 at 6:19 pm

Really reliable and durable SUV.

mexico12ism says in November 23rd 2011 at 6:44 pm

onilledzep says in November 23rd 2011 at 7:03 pm

gtvapsamtik says in November 23rd 2011 at 7:12 pm

It got reliable 4.0 V6 engine, which can last for LONG time.

Vanuatoo says in November 23rd 2011 at 7:39 pm

@spotmeatsour
Nissan Pathfinder has double wish-bone front and rear.

spotmeatsour says in November 23rd 2011 at 7:41 pm

The girl who gets in this car is a perfect example of what this car is for. They are NOT for going off road! Four-link independent suspension? That means very little articulation. These are complete road going SUV’s. And they are only automatic in the U.S. Manual transmissions are only EVERYWHERE ELSE hahaha.

dakomedykingz3 says in November 23rd 2011 at 8:15 pm

JBML007 says in November 23rd 2011 at 8:43 pm

@hazemvirus LOL love these VW idiots that come on here bashing anything that is not german……look at any consumer report…VW are more image over quality…….and lets be honest the only thing that original in their lineup is the TDI…..everything else there are better cars, with a cheaper price point, that last longer….VW is the ultimate overrated carmaker……..
