A review of the torque wrench and a review of the reviewers,
Everything works as advertised with this wrench. It’s marked N-m and ft-lbs. My only negative so far is that you can’t hear a click at the lower torque ranges, you have to look for the head to snap if you want to torque at the lower settings.
Regarding the other reviewers issues. I agree with the one poster who said it’s hard to determine which increment you’re on with wrench. You are always a small bit below when you get to one of the torque scale marks (or is it high
).
To the reviewer who couldn’t move the wrench past 30ft-lbs, that is because there is a lock nut on the bottom of the wrench that you have to loosen to get up higher. This nut is retighten when you get to your desired torque setting. I though the same thing when I couldn’t move the wrench past 70ft-lbs, but I loosened it up and it went all the way up to 80ft-lbs as expected.
Also, it seems some people’s wrenches are marked in inch-pounds, I recently got my wrench an it only had ft-lbs and N-m, so they may have change this or it may vary depending on which you get.

|Torque Wrench,
I am a full time mechanic. I did not feel the need for a snap-on wrench at this time because i needed this wrench for the lower value foot lbs. The wrench works well and is accurate and should last me awhile with heavy use.

|Two issues,
I bought this to do maintenance work on the impressive Toro 1800 bought from Amazon. It has two issues which prompted me to return the item. First issue, it only works on right handed threads meaning that it tightens and torque sets in a clock-wise motion. The other issue is the stamped scale. It does not line up. This one reads between 5lb. and 10lb. when lined up to ‘zero’ after rotating the end of the handle. This makes it difficult to determine which it is. Although I’m sure it’s rather accurate to 4%, the quality of the calibration mixed with the omission concerning right/left handed-ness in the product description earned just a star.
