my alfa romeo 156 has a delayed throttle response plus it chokes on low revs when i step on the gas. ideas?
it is not a diesel. by low revs i mean 1000 to 2000.
it is 1999.

Change your car!!!!
diesel or gasoline? what are ‘low revs’? 1500rpm? higher or lower?
If you have a JTD engine, delayed response could be due to the turbo, it usually takes a while to kick in.
But I thinks something’s wrong with the fuel feed…
sorry, I think we’re confused, what year is your car?
i dont know, sorry.
Try replacing the fuel filter and see if it helps then if it doesn’t you might try taking it in and having someone look at either fuel pump or possible the carburetor . Sounds like its trying to get fuel and only getting it in spurts.
