I want a new car and I am low on cash so I want to try out a police auction out in Baltimore, DC, MD, or VA…are there any quality cars at these events and what is the price range?

Your local area will decide the price but the are normally dirt cheap.

yes and no, you need to be pretty good, or pretty lucky when buying from any auction. I will not buy any car I cannot test drive for at least 30 to 40 minutes. There may be some good deals, arrive early, look over what is available, if the auction is police impounds only, thats better than a mixed one. There are many broken old piles of crap dumped at auctions,
You won’t find any quaity cars at a police auction. Only the worst of the worst gets sold at auction. The rest get sold retail or the department keeps them for their own use.
