I actually like this car, but I don’t like this 135 hp engine. The new Stang 5.0 has 411 hp and handles just fine. This car is nothing more than a go cart with 135hp. A toy.

What?……..a supercharger with 25 hp ha….ha…..haha thats tiny maybe 3 tenths of a sec faster. My rx-8 will be at worst case the same acceleration as the lotus elise supercharged!

You probably didn’t hear him say ‘base’ model. Get the Elise with the supercharger and he will leave the rx-8 standing.
Im American but I LOVE this car the fact you can 180 degrees into a turn while acclerating makes my pulse beat faster the handling in all Lotus’s is crazy and there like video games its so unreal

0-60 in only 6 sec…..gez thats freaken slow my rx-8 2005 can accelerate faster 0-60 in just 5.9 seconds and it’s 5 years older unbelievable! I have a greater car than even a lotus! amazing!
@Driftuner kk i checked the website for lotus shortly after i watched this video (about a month ago) and so i saw that the base elise has a different engine from the previous base model which had the 2zz-ge from the celica which i think is one of the best engines ever made… btw thx for the reply…
@supra1722 this is the Elise..with 136hp…the Elises that goes 4′s are the Elise R and the SC..this is the “regular” elise
Took one of the first show cars in America out for a drive. It was a really fun car, but, I have never seen such shabby build quality for a car worth $50,000. Plus, the acceleration is catatonic, I’ll stick with my S4 thank you!

my neighbor has one of these, his is blue with bronze rims, kinda like how people with rally style subaru’s have them blue with bronze rims. he thinks he is better then every one else but he lives in a crappy apartment, and cant afford anything but gas for his car. xD you gotta have prioritys yknow? lol
