Johnny Cash – Ghost Riders In The Sky (From “Live At Montreux” DVD)

For more info – www.eagle-rock.com The late Johnny Cash was one of the most influential figures in American music in the post war period. He managed to combine elements of folk, rock ‘n’ roll and country, which together with his distinctive voice and guitar style, created an instantly recognisable sound. 1994 was to prove to be Cash’s only appearance at the Montreux Festival. The “Man In Black” had just released his acclaimed American Recordings album and his European tour took in Montreux on July 5. This track is taken from the Eagle Vision DVD “Live at Montreux”.

Wonder what that red electric guitar the lead guitar player is playing is–what model/brand?

Nobody should say Johnny’s dead. His own song stated that no grave can keep him down, so he isn’t dead, he’s just waiting for that one trumpet sound to spring right out of the ground.

@VanGoghRothko Then if you think thats country, then you’ve just heard the wrong people then. Johnny Cah, Willie Nelson, the band The highway men weren’t at all like that. I’m not critisizing you, just informing you.

Are you insane? Cash is a legend in the center of the Europe(for some anyway) and you ask about him? He’s a genius!!!! yuhuuu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

VanGoghRothko says in November 2nd 2011 at 5:16 pm

Cash was more cowboy, the rebel, the poor, the downtrodden, those living on the wrong side of the tracks. Country music is fucktard rednecks getting drunk and driving their pickup trucks to excuse their racism and bigotry.

I have to confess that I didn’t know who he was until he died………..ever since I heard him sing I became a fan, that deep voice……..and that makes it even more incredible to hear him squeal like in 1:34

XBlackxHops says in November 2nd 2011 at 9:46 pm

132 people searched up Ghost Rider and were ready to jack off to Nicholas Cage.

Johnny Cash is not country. He transcends any genre. You don’t have to like Johnny Cash, but if you like music, you have to respect him at the very least.
