Finding out how deep the Mud Pit is at Rausch Creek Offroad Park in Tremont, PA in my 98 Jeep Wrangler TJ with Rough Country 4 inch lift, Detroit Truetrac and Trac-lok limited slip, 35 inch BF Goodrich Mud Terrains, 4.56 gears.

i like hauling ass into a mud hole… i decided to put a snorkle on my jeep, so i haul ass through anything i want, i still get stuck and break stuff a lot, but i don’t mind because i know how to fix and work on my jeep… if you don’t wanna work on it, you should not own a jeep… Rule # 1

but he did make it…. i still always check the depth before i go through anything… because i don’t wanna break something if i can help it.

Haul ass into the mud hole which has an unknown depth, realize halfway through going balls-out into the mud hole that it is too deep, submerge the entire hood underwater, suck water into your intake and hydro-lock the engine! Good thinking, bud. And no, he wouldn’t have been screwed. Deep water like that has plenty of traction for a jeep, considering the ground isn’t very slushy with loose mud. It’s clearly packed mud, and as a result.. he made it.
