@mancamiatipoola you still have to inflate it with a compressor, this just seats the bead.

mancamiatipoola says in June 4th 2011 at 12:43 pm

I think this method can only be used to pop the tire on the rim, but not to drive on. I don’t see the expanded aerosol gas having enough pressure to keep 1/4 of the weight of a car up. Besides, most of it escapes when it explodes. I think u still have to inflate the tire with air afterwards.
Has anyone ever tried this? Does the wheel hold inflation on the road just on that gas or do u have to inflate it with air too?
Pls reply.

The tire was not inflated,it was clinched to the rem…

A ratchet strap will clinch a tire to the wheel in the same way ,and safer..

gunbojason says in June 4th 2011 at 2:38 pm

what kind of spray was that hairspray?

gobersiak says in June 4th 2011 at 3:15 pm

@megotvtec Does create pressure just for few sec.

Lukeschedel says in June 4th 2011 at 4:04 pm

anyone know the exact name/year of that truck?

kturner87 says in June 4th 2011 at 4:58 pm

@ippielb how did he get the airesol inside the tire??

jimmybilbo says in June 4th 2011 at 5:08 pm

@swansontea yeah, i’m sure you have a “frikkin’ PhD in physics.”

FlareRider123 says in June 4th 2011 at 5:16 pm

I feel sad for that 1 person who set himself on fire trying this.

dominiccss says in June 4th 2011 at 5:53 pm

What the hell? This video is fucked for me. The bar skips right to the end, but I can still here like 5 secs of audio. The whole youtube video is green and distorted and doesn;t move too

Sepharite says in June 4th 2011 at 6:23 pm

I was waiting for the car to explode at the end. Very disappointed.

AKAtheA says in June 4th 2011 at 6:54 pm

@swansontea no, 1 mol of oxygen WITH 2 mol of hydrogen gives you 1 mol of water… this is higschool chemistry…
It’s impossible to suddenly get matter out of nothing, the weight (amount of atoms) has to be the same…

I’m getting the feeling that you have no idea what molar mass(M) is & how to count it into mass (m)…

megotvtec says in June 4th 2011 at 7:27 pm

does this really create enough pressure to drive on? or is it just enough air to seal the bead? i cant see this adding 40+psi to the tire.

AKAtheA says in June 4th 2011 at 7:52 pm

@AKAtheA p.s. all gas volumes are @ 0°C, the water is @ 4°C, the difference is neglible…

Now, do I have to try & explain thermal expansion or can you look it up yourself?!

i saw this on top gear. i was amazed. coolest idea ever.

vsop333 says in June 4th 2011 at 10:50 pm

No, it doesn’t inflate the tire, it mounts it/beads it. You have to inflate it afterwards.

omarofuae says in June 4th 2011 at 11:31 pm

@models800 You can use WD-40, starter fluid, brake fluid, mostly any kind of flamable fluid.

models800 says in June 5th 2011 at 12:07 am
