I have an Acura 2.3cl with a F23A motor, would a h22a motor be better than what i already have.?

Question by Ez Baby: I have an Acura 2.3cl with a F23A motor, would a h22a motor be better than what i already have.?

Best answer:

Answer by Chris K
When talking completely stock, yes. I am not sure, but let’s say we are talking about the VTEC versions of both of these engines. F23A is a SOHC VTEC with 9.3:1 compression ratio with 150 hp and 153 ft/lbs of torque to the crank out of the factory. Now the H22. DOHC VTEC. The JDM< version came with 10.6:1 to 11:1 compression ratio and 200 hp and 161 ft/lbs of torque. Also it has a higher revving ability stock. So it is a more powerful engine stock, yes.

It all depends on what you want. A f23 has better fuel economy than the h22. the h22 will out perform the f23 hands down. If your looking for better fuel consumption stick with the f23. If your looking to build a high performance engine swap in a h22. Good Luck
