I have an 89 Honda Accord LXI and the front speakers are blown. Anyone know the easiest way to replace them?

I hae an 89 Honda Accord LXI. The front speakers are blown and sound HORRIBLE. I want to know if anybody knows how to replace them. Do I need to remove the whole door panel? If so, how do I go about it? Thanks for any help I can get!

Most cars have a couple screws to take out than clip that clip into place. All car’s are different some don’t have screws and just clips. It’s usually very simple but without seeing the car it’s hard to tell you exact were screw/clips are. There are usually hidden behind plastic caps just sake a small flat head look around see if there are; if it looks try to pull off slowly to see if there are screws there.

If you can’t find any screws the whole door panel might just pop off. Do you have window roll ups? Take that off first. You can buy the tool at auto zone or here is a trick use a plastic bag behind the handle and the door panel slowly slide back and forth be careful not to lose the clip it sometimes fly’s out.

Hope that helps good luck!

some of the hondas have speaker covers you can take off, you may be able to rip it off if its a glue on and silicone it back on, this could save you from taking the panel off.

as far as getting speakers go to replace those.

go to “www.crutchfield.com” then outfit my car section and they will have all the info about your exact make and model

NO you do not have to take off door panels.

There is 2-4 screws around the speaker, that will take off the cover.

Then 2-4 that will remove the speaker itself. Waaalah!
