Question by : I have a question regarding the Ford Excursion, GMC Yukon XL Denali, and Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe. Read?
I love Chevrolet Tahoes and Suburbans, but why do a lot of people constantly compare theme to the GMC Yukon XL Denali, and the Ford Excurion, particularly the Eddie Bauer and Limited trim levels, when Tahoes and Suburbans are not even luxury suvs, but just very pricey? Why do people always praise the Cadillac Escalade for being so nice and luxurius, but not the GMC Yukon XL and Ford Excursion (Limited, Eddie Bauer)? Finally, Why is that a 2001 Cadillac Escalade used can be on a used lot and could have 150,000 and still be price at $ 25,000 if not more, but a 2001 GMC Yukon XL and Ford Excurision could also have 150,000 but are priced way below that? Please enlighten me. Thanks!

you are paying for the name. The yukon xl is a smaller version of the Gmc suburban which isn’t made anymore, which is why it is compared.

As you mentioned- it depends on the trim levels to how they are compared. A Denali and a Escalade are similiarly set up and are far superior ( MY opinion ) to any ford product. The Escalade and Denali are the most powerful choices of what you have mentioned and have a higher resale value because of the motor, ride, and demand. They make more Chevrolets and Yukons and such- that’s why they are so much less money used as you asked. It’s that supply and demand thing they mentioned in High School economics. The Tahoes Yukons and Suburbans are compared to the hi trim level Fords because that’s just how they compare. If you compare base trim levels- the GM products are far superior in standart features, standard engines and the like. Of course different year models may compare differently.
