Question by : I have a 2008 Acura Rdx that has been in the shop for brakes alone 6 times in one year is this normal?
I’ve had this car for a little over a year .The brakes have been cleaned, rotors resurfaced, replaced all 4 rotors and brake pads, heat related run out on rear brakes and then told that all semi metallic brakes make noise. Is this normal on acura rdx or is this a lie?

No not all semi met pads will make noise, it is almost impossible to eliminate all noise on some cars but they should not grind or whine. I would try a different shop this one seems to not know what they are doing, 6 times in a year is not normal.
