My father is willing to fix this junk car for me until I can afford a better ride. He needs specifics of the car like what kind of transmission is in the car, etc. Help.

The trans is made by Mitsubishi, and is also found in the Mitsu Mirage. The sedans have a 4 speed auto and the hatch backs have a 3 speed. $ 250-500 for the 4 speed, same for the 3 speeds, which are also found in the Dodge Colts. Check out http://www.car-part.com
