probably a 440
with a 727 transmission
but without looking at it its impossible to be sure
its possible it has a
360 engine or a 400 as well

I’m going to say a 318 this is the most popular dodge engine for the gas guzzlers of the 70′s and 80′s

you probably got the 440 in it,i own an older one and it has the 440 ,and its not bad on gas once you get it cruising,i have seen some 318,s in those in the smaller ones, those was terrible on gas, more weight than the 318 could handle, look on the under hood sticker,it should tell you on it,they could have used one of three engine options on it,good luck.

Raise the hood and look at the front of the engine, if you see a distributor cap to your left (the trucks right), it is a big block, probably a 440. If you do not see a distributor cap, the distributor is at the rear of the engine and it is either a 318 or a 360. Their should be a sticker(s) under the hood giving information as to the engine size, spark plug type and gap, vacuum hose routing and various other info.
