How to intentionally disable a vehicle without permanent damage?
Question by notanotherinmarch: How to intentionally disable a vehicle without permanent damage?
Hello,
I would like to know the best and easiest way to intentionally disable a vehicle without doing any permanent damage. Simply disconnecting the battery cables is a little too obvious. As for other methods, please keep in mind I would like to be able to simply fix the problem and drive the vehicle home. This is my own vehicle. The reason for doing so is for a sociological research project; seeing who stops to help, age group, gender etc.
Spark plugs? Easy way to quickly drain the battery (under an hour)?….Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Disconnect from the fuel injector transom.. And with a small rubber plug – plug the fuel line.

Remove the main fuse, usually a 50 amp.without it the car has no electrical power….
Jam a potatoe in the tailpipe. Beat it into the tailpipe with anything and make sure it’s jammed in real good. Put two potatoes in for extra good measure!
All later model cars with fuel injection have a fuel injection relay. It is like a small ice cube in size. Once you figure out where it is, it is easy to remove it, and slip it into your purse. This will prevent gas flow and keep the car disabled easiest. Also, by doing this, the CPU of the car will not be affected, like it would if you disconnect the battery. See?
unplug wires to ecm.”engine control module.”
