How much does it cost to rebuild the top end in a 97 Suzuki GSXR600?

Question by rmellows06: How much does it cost to rebuild the top end in a 97 Suzuki GSXR600?
I have to opportunity to buy a 1997 Suzuki GSXR600 for real cheap. The top end needs to be rebuilt. Anybody have any idea on the cost?

for a top end rebuild in new zealand dollars….about $ 280.00 if i do it my self.but i dont know what it will cost in your currency.sorry.

Depends what you mean by top end re-build.
If its a smoker its probably had a real hard life and there may be other things wrong with it. A new cylinder head is about $ 1100 then you need all the valves, etc. If its dropped a valve or been stunted you may want to check flea-buy for an complete engine
Best advice is get someone who knows what to look for take a look a it.
