How much does it cost to rebuild a Harley Davidson Motorcycle?

Im looking to buy and rebuild a full Harley Davidson Motorcyle. I need a bike with good gas mileage that I can improve with the rebuilding, something smaller in weight and height, and theres no age limit.
Any suggestions on cheap-to-build Harleys and a quote on how much it’ll cost to rebuild?

Rebuilding is almost always more expensive than just buying a good one in the first placd. A solid Sportster can be had for $3,500. You aren’t going to rebuild anything for less than that.

To vague a question. What style are you looking at? Barqolounger or Sportster? Do you want one that has been wrecked or one that the engine was pulled by the previous owner for what ever reason? Too much depends on which bike you get, and the condition of said bike to tell you how much rebuilding a bike would cost. If you are merely talking upgrading the engine, then you could get into doing a performance engine swap out or buying the screaming b#tch parts (screaming eagle) or even aftermarket performance parts and the money to spend depends on just what you want to upgrade.
