forever if you keep replacing parts, I drive a 1996 cavalier and people are amazed because I have 200,000 miles on it. I say repairs are cheaper than buying a new car

If you change the oil, and maintain it properly it should last like a lot of years. Depends what car you have too.

This will depend on the make of the car and how much it is “run into the ground” – some people driver harder than others.

Some have gone over one million miles and are still going with just proper maintenance..

A lot depends upon maintenance and where you live. No salt and maintenance you can really drive almost forever. Paint, engines and transmissions are MUCH cheaper than car payments. I must admit that I do wonder this too. If you want to consider the enviournment..humm How much energy and pollution does it take to make a new car or truck verses keeping one running in good condition? That is not what the manufacturers want to hear..Ha Ha

I’d say 200,000+ miles.

I really like your question. Depend on how you take good care of it…if you take good care of it but there is an accident then your car will damage and of course the car will say NO MORE until you repair it back…so you have to take good care of it and watch out and beware….

With proper maint. as long as you want it to go. I have 3 autos with what people tell me is high miles and I need to sell them and buy a brand new one. But I would rather keep them and not go in debt.
99 Dodge Ram 212,365 miles
92 Jeep Cherokee 218,098 miles
83 K5 blazer 603,545 miles (from keeping up with odometer turning) Everything running good
