How do you take extremely good care of your car?

car care

Question by 2nd Commander: How do you take extremely good care of your car?
Tell me like everything.

All the dos and don’ts. Like how even the hot sun might damage it? If I drive a black car.

Like all the air filters and transmission flushes and this and that. What are the stuff I should do and the ones I must.

Also give me the don’ts that I might not otherwise notice.
to be exact it’s the 2008 dodge avenger SE, and it’s automatic.

Look in your manual for the recommended service schedule. Follow the one marked “severe” and you’ll get 200K out of it easily. Let me know if you don’t have a manual and I’ll send you a list.
PS-the sun won’t normally damage a finish, but waxing twice a year is an excellent idea.

check you fluids every other week. Be aware of any odd noises. When you go somewhere keep an eye underneath the car when you get back to make sure there are no oil stains and other fluids. If there is pop the hood. Sometimes the coolant boiled over or the condenser just sweats. Once in a while crawl under the car to check for leaks. Just make sure the car is not real hot.

google basic car care. Keep checkin the fluids.

Follow routing maintenance
Drive it nicely
Don’t abuse it
Wash it regularly: Once or twice every two weeks
Polish and wax at least three times a year
Clean brake dust off early
Vacuum the interior and clean spots and stains early on
Store in garage or park in shade
Don’t idle the car for long periods of time
Don’t over rev the engine
Avoid jackrabbit starts
Using common sense takes you a long way.
