How do I set the remote built in to the visor in my 1996 Infiniti I30 car to open my Genie brand garage door?

My “new” (to me) Infiniti I30 has a garage door opener built in to the driver’s side visor. How do I set it to open my Genie brand garage door? The Genie garage door opener is relatively new, only about a year old.

Thanks!

Very easy.

1. Press and hold garage door opener 1 and 3 in your G35 until the light blinks
2. Take the remote you use to get into your house and press and hold the button near the rear view mirror. At the same time press and hold the button you would like to program for that door. The light will start blinking slowly and then faster. Let go of the buttons
3. Go into your garage and press the learn button on your garage door opener. These are different colors depending on the make and model.
4. within 30 seconds press and hold the button you programmed in your car until the light in your garage blinks.

That’s it. The process is pretty much the same for most vehicles.

Yeah, I had a hard time doing this to, basically what the other guy said, but your learn button is black and under the light case. it should say “learn” on it somewhere.

before starting the door will be moving alot so make sure nothing is in the weigh of the door.

1. press the first and last button on the visor. hold them down until they flash real quick
2. get your remote and hold down the button on your remote and the button on ur visor (any of them) at the same time until the light on the visor starts to flash.
3. get a ladder. take off the light case and press that black button. run back to the car, no really run.
4. push the same button that u pressed eariler w/ the remote and hold it until u see the red light on ur opener flas quickly.
5. release the homelink buttons (buttons on visor) push and hold it until the door starts to move.

your done now.
