Hi-Lift Jacks are without comparison the best product in the market. This is the second one I buy.
I think I over did it with this one. This thing is big and heavy. I am about 6 feet tall and it is difficult for me to maneuver this instrument. I could have done well with the simpler version or smaller size. I use it for a 2009 Land Cruiser. As I said, product is good but massive, something to think about when you are in deep trouble.

Hi-Lift X-treme jack. You need one for your truck!, August 31, 2010
By

I find myself in some very nasty back roads. This jack has been a great lifesaver. If you get stuck in the mud without a winch, need to pull posts out of the ground, or jack up a lifted or large vehicle, then you need this jack. The X-treme version is all cast steel, which should last longer, and the 60″ will make winching go quicker than the 48″ model. Heavy, 35 pound or so weight could be used as a weapon if need be as well. I added the curved bumper adapter and can lift an older full size Chevy off the ground with ease. The top of this model has a more useful top clamp as well. This alone has made it worthwhile for clamping, and gripping things. The toned down color instead of bright red makes it less likely to be seen and get stolen. (Although it did get left in the ditch at night once…..had it been red, it would have been gone by morning. Problem with large groups going off roading at night. I now keep a locator tag on this so it doesn’t get too far from my rig.) Very useful jack, made in the USA, and will last for a very long time. Warning, this 60″ unit is large so have the room to store it or you may get disappointed. Would be a great gift for women to buy for a real man too. This is not for your metro-sexual pansy who has 22+ inch “rims” on their “truck”.

Just get one for your rig now!, September 30, 2010
By

Don’t even bother with the generic knock off made in China crap. Buy one of these and be done. 48″ works for Jeeps and smaller rigs, get the 60″ for anything lifted or full size. The gunmetal gray on the X-Treme version even looks cool. Add some pipe insulation to the pipe and mount it somewhere. This could be used as a weapon if need be. Very heavy, durable and might save your life. Versatile tool that can be used to winch, pull, or clamp as well as lift. If you have an older vehicle get the bumper adapter too. This will minimize the scratches on your bumper if you should use it. Add a few pieces of wood, some gloves, tow strap and clevis and you are ready for off-roading. Just don’t mount this thing to your bumper, you all look like fools for doing that. (You know who you are.)
