Down payment for a bentley?

Question by cartierstunter: Down payment for a bentley?
About how much would I have to put down for a bentley arnage? I am guessing about $ 25,000. I would like for my payment to be about $ 1200 a month. But How much would I need to put down in order to make this happen anyone?

The old addage applies here:

If you have to ask, you can’t afford it.

Just to humor you, If the MSRP of the Arnage you want is 250k, and the tax on it is 6%, that’s 265k. Then you have to add all the fees and extra taxes (for gas guzzler, etc).

Your $ 1200/mo payment divided into just the 265-25k (down payment) is about 200 months, that’s 16 years of payments. I don’t think anyone will finance a car for that long. A house, yes.

This is not even taking into account the insurance on that thing.

People that buy Bentleys usually pay cash.

ummm…you would need to put down $ 200,000 to get a $ 1200 payment for 60 months at 7.5%….nice try. Get a Corolla.

You are so far off and if you have to ask . . . you probably cannot afford it.

I work for an auto group with a Bentley dealership – using a price of $ 260,000 (which is the least expensive Arnage that we have in stock at the moment) and an interest rate of 6% . . .

If you put $ 25,000 down – you would be looking at payments of roughly $ 4500 per month for 60 months or $ 3900 per month for 72 months.

If you put $ 200,000 down – you would be looking at payments of roughly $ 1200 per month for 60 months or $ 1000 per month for 72 months.

Good luck!

So somehow you want us to think you had enough on the ball to be able to afford a Bentley. But can’t figure out simple finance?

I am thinking we have moved the decimals. You are looking for a Kia Rio, have $ 2500 down, and want $ 120/month payments, right?

none it is a cash and cary thing

Go talk to the dealership, they will tell you what it takes. I would guess the majority of us that are posting here (including myself) will not be buying a Bentley any time soon.

The dealership will give you the facts. I am sure if you put $ 25,000 down on a Mercedes or a BMW that cost $ 90,000, someone might work with you.

Guess again. You’re not even close.
