In the end of the 2007 year TATA motors announced to launch Rs. one lakh car NANO. The announcement brought sensation in the car market. TATA were decided to launch Nano till the end of 2008 year but there were many difficulties to launch the car for Tata. At 1st Ratan Tata decided to shift a company in Singur to make the car but Singur people were not ready to handover their land for the factory. This time a political propaganda started to get the land for TATA Nano but no one succeed. After a great fight in Singur and Nandigram Tata Motors decided to move the car factory in other place however Mamata Banargee already told to set up the factory over 600 acres but TATA was not satisfied in 600 acres. After the great contradiction Uttarakhand government invited to set up a factory for Nano. Chief Minister of Uttarakhand announced to allot about 45 acres of land to expand the Pantnagar unit. TATA officials announced this time to launch about 50,000 cars by Pantnagar unit. This time TATA were ready to set up the factory quickly because it was already delayed in the launch of Nano. In the end of the 2008 TATA motors decided to set up a factory for Nano in Gujarat. By the Gujarat government Simar port were allotted. Finally, Tata announced to launch Nano car at 23rd March in 2009. The announcement was in February, 2009 officially. The car booking will start from April month of 2009. The car satisfies the need of middle class families. It is four seated car and it has two version AC and non-AC. It has 20 kilometers per liter mileage. Now, its cost will be more than one lakh including with VAT and transport charges. These were the major difficulties for TATA to launch Nano. It was TATA who knew the Indian middle class need and market needs. After this announcement most of the motors companies have decided to launch small car. Bajaj, Honda and Mahindra motor companies are coming with small cars in the market till 2010-2012 but they have no difficulties like TATA motors.
