Question by ChanyLee: How do you change the chain on a 1985 cmx250c Honda rebel motorcycle? my chain fell off when I was driving it and need to replace the chain. I dont know how to get the chain off. Best answer: Answer by Jon PSome Hondas came equipped with an endless chain. They do not have a master link. The chain was installed before the swing arm. A master link has a clip on one side that is spread apart and slides off of the pins. If you don't have a master link the peen-ed ends of the pins in one link need ground off and punched out. You should have a manual if you are going to do your own repairs. Especially if you ride a 24 year old bike. What do you think?
