Briggs Chrysler Announces that the 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is the Four Wheeler of the Year

The 2012 Wrangler Rubicon earned the annual award from the editors of Four Wheeler magazine, one of the off-roading industry’s most highly regarded publications.

Vehicles need to be entirely new or have received substantial mechanical revisions from a previous model year to be considered for the award. The Wrangler is the second Jeep to win the award in as many years, last year the Jeep Grand Cherokee took home the honor. The testing for the competition was conducted on over 1,000 miles of terrain including gravel, pavement, dirt, sand and rocks. The Wrangler Rubicon proved to be the best and ousted the rest of the field.

The 2012 Jeep Wrangler has earned numerous awards this year including 4×4 of the year from Petersen’s 4-Wheel & Off-Road magazine. The Jeep has earned over seven different awards for the 2012 model.
