who actualy won this race i am so stunned that the clip had stopped before the race ended imagine these cars with todays technology suspension,fuel injection etc probably give the touring cars of today a run for there money..lol

I’m sure that even you (with your three still-working neurons) have heard of Big Red, the Camaro that obliterated the Ferraris and Porsches at the Silver State Classic. It had a top speed of close to 350 kph and this was in the 1980s!
These cars are capable of being made extremely fast, and any car that runs in a sanctioned race is by definition a “Race Car”.
They are real racecars. Some of them (eg the Mustang GTA) are the actual racecars from the 1960s.
Yes, their aerodynamics are not fantastic, but not completely awful either. Most of the have Kammbacks and are very low to the ground. Some, such as Moffat’s 1969 Mustang were capable of around 280 kph.
Indeed, aerodynamics matter very little if the car makes a lot of torque, which these ones certainly do.

They are vintage race cars and they have proven their worth against many competitors over the years. Do not underestimate them.

These cars are light and have big engines. And unlike most Japanese toys, have real SLA front suspensions, not worthless MacPherson struts.
these cars can only rear on a show and drag, but can’t compete real race cars.
