although this video was helpful, he did miss some information that needed explaining like the aspect ratio to the tire width, rather than just saying its the height of the tire

Now im gonna talk about tire sizes..wtf?!

dudeman777us says in September 1st 2010 at 12:49 pm

Its not the size of the tire, its how you use it.

KumandanteRaymundo says in September 1st 2010 at 1:11 pm

Simple and easy to understand!

jmvneto51 says in September 1st 2010 at 2:04 pm

See my drawing at youtube “Projeto tire size”. Projeto means ‘project’ in portugues.

jmvneto51 says in September 1st 2010 at 2:43 pm

215/65-16 …… 65 is a percentage of the width which is, in this case, 215 (mm). So, a 205/65-16 is at the same time less wide and a little lower because 65% of 205 gives you a smaller number for tire wall height. See my drawing no “Projeto tire size”.

Treadwear number, What The letters such as R,Z,Y mean, And how to tell the born on date of the tire.
