probably a burnt fuse inline to your radio power input.

its an anti theft device
there is a code you have to enter for it to operate
look in your owner manual or contact the original dealer
theres a device you can buy which plugs into your cigarette lighter which gives a battery backup so these systems and your computer do not have to reset i beleive they sell them at sears

Go to a part department of any Mitsubishi dealer with your VIN,they can look up in their computer to give you the code which you will need to enter on the stereo keypad.
