it depends on the news. in short yes, the press can have an effect on the stock price, it can be positive or negative.
If they announce higher sales than expected or similar good new, the stock will go up.
If they announce a recall on their cars due to safety or similar bad new, the stock will go down.
That’s depend. But if the sale number beat the expectation number, it will drive the stock price up.
If bad news, it can kill the stock price.
But usually, the stock price usually look into the future for clue.
