@aircooledwizard Hahaha whatever. Rolls Royce is basically a BMW now, MG is in China and Jaguar whiles made in the UK is under the ownership of India. It’s hilarious you guys can’t manage a car company for shit. It’s because of that same attitude your in this mess.

@kusmake – Thanks! You might be on to something here though… Maybe I should just call it a “Jag” and not suffer the consequences of my “USA Accent”..:) Hmmmm…. I “reckon” I might just do that in the next video..! – Steve

@aircooledwizard I’m not hating on Jags. I just don’t get why idiots keep saying what is the right way to pronounce the name. After all it’s not the pronunciation of the name it’s dropping the cash on one that keeps the company alive am I right?

Stuffy attitude alright, bitching over a fucking name and at the people who help keep your Indian owned car company alive.

aircooledwizard says in December 11th 2011 at 5:18 am

@7477238 HAHAHAHA. Good retort from a country that makes second rate pieces of junk that no other country buys. STuffy attitude? Typical yank who thinks all English people say is “what what” and “spiffing”. Ive owned 8 Jags, and only one American car, a 300C…..what does that tell you? I will NEVER buy another. I mainly drive a Bentley now but i still have two Jags in the garage.

7477238 says in December 11th 2011 at 5:57 am

@charleyswar English is spoken all over the world so there will be minor differences. Just be lucky there are North Americans that are dumb enough to buy Jaguars otherwise you Brits would be adding the Jaguar name to a long list of defunct low quality car companies. Jags have improved, too bad your stuffy attitudes haven’t.

@fishelfinder
Different for everyone I guess, the city I live in, especially the area I live, is VERY hilly, and it snows from October-May, with snow on the road about 50% of the time. All-seasons work for you, you should be happy.

fishelfinder says in December 11th 2011 at 6:39 am

@atami210 Okay. That’s the way you like doing it. Mine, my wife’s, Mom’s, Dad’s Rover Sport SC’s all have high performance all-seasons. They do the job well enough. We have 4 real months with snow. Each month, it doesn’t snow every day. My bro’s SRT8 and his 2012 Jeep SRT8 also will keep the HP all-seasons. My sister’s Evoque will do fine with all-seasons as well, I’m sure. Either way, they moved me through last year’s 22″ Blizzard last year. That’s good enough for most. Not perfect, but enough.

atami210 says in December 11th 2011 at 7:37 am

@fishelfinder
Obviously, having AWD is better, but you still need to get winter tires with AWD. I have a separate sets of wheels, one with summer tires and nice rims, and other with winter tires and stock rims. For me its really not much of a pain to get them put on, usually get them done with an oil change or even do it myself.

fishelfinder says in December 11th 2011 at 8:16 am

@atami210 I understand what you’re saying, but there are more people than not who prefer not to be swapping tires every year. I have two friends I work with with BMW 5-series. The one with RWD says he’s never buying a RWD car again. Rims, tires, the whole thing is a pain for him and costs extra every year. The other with the X-Drive says, “I love this car.” I know everyone’s different, but the people who like AWD are in the majority in this class in this climate. Ask our dealers.

atami210 says in December 11th 2011 at 8:55 am

@fishelfinder
Just because you have AWD will not mean that it is going to work fine in the winter with summer tires or even all season tires.
Those tires stop working efficiently when they go below freezing temperatures. I live in Canada, so I would know about snow as well, on my dads RWD BMW, we just get winters, which works better then my moms AWD Audi w/ all season tires.

the ta-ta xj is great!

fishelfinder says in December 11th 2011 at 9:32 am

@absolutinspire Oh, and a spike traction system? I’m not sure what you’re talking about, but in our state, studs are illegal. You can only have winter tires here.

fishelfinder says in December 11th 2011 at 9:43 am

@absolutinspire It can be an option. Ask our dealships here in Wisconsin why the Jags aren’t selling. People love them, but all of their competitors have all wheel drive. People ponying up that much money here in Wisconsin for a year-round car will usually pop for AWD. You should see the Infinitis, Mercs, Bimmers and so-on. Mostly AWD here.

absolutinspire says in December 11th 2011 at 9:56 am

@fishelfinder No they dont this isnt a tacky audi.. Jaguar is selling at $2000 a spike traction system which will fit even 20″ rims looks awesome is like having a Bond car..

charleyswar says in December 11th 2011 at 11:03 am

I hate the way Americans pronounce Jaguar. It’s an English car so it should be pronounced the English way. It’s Jag-u-ar, not Jag-war.

fishelfinder says in December 11th 2011 at 11:52 am

They need all wheel drive ASAP. That’s the only reason they’re not selling better. They’re almost perfect, except for that. It snows for 4-5 months here in Wisconsin, and people don’t want the hassle of changing to winter tires. I see JLR has it in the pipeline.
