2002 Acura 3.2TL 0-60

Base model, not the Type S unfortunately but still has good power and the transmission shifts quickly although short shifts from 1st to 2nd. Forgot to turn on traction control which is the light blinking.

Maybe the engine is a little tired, it does have 111,000 miles on it.

Where do you go to this? Private road?

@Fred924

yup pretty much Honda fucked up from 1998-2003 with transmissions on multiple models. The good news is now those models will either have the new re-manufactured units that are fixed or got lucky and the original unit works perfectly.

Fred924 says in January 2nd 2012 at 1:47 pm

these cars were nice, but I heard some of them had trans problems.

@90Mrknowitall

naw it was the VTEC engaging. Im not sure if the tranny was original in this car since they are the 3rd owner but its strong for the most part. But no its not much quicker than my Accord just a bit. I had a video on this car from 6 months ago but it was shitty and since I had it again I wanted to redo it lol

90Mrknowitall says in January 2nd 2012 at 3:08 pm

sounds like 2nd didnt catch on to quickly at 4500 RPM or that could be the V-Tech im hearing any way its not much quicker than your accord LOL i see you already have a 3.2TL up on your channel?

@hondaftw1234

I promise that was full throttle, the tranny in this car always short shifted from 1st to 2nd. Its not bad tho about the same as the Accord since its got an extra 200 lbs. But it feels soo much quicker in everyday driving from the torque and extra gear!

hondaftw1234 says in January 2nd 2012 at 4:25 pm

That can not be full throttle :) Damn, kinda slow
Believe it or not, I would rather have this (in Type S form) over the newer (2007,2008) type S. Cleaner. Though, my money would go to the new one because it is better.

xoquixxoqafxo says in January 2nd 2012 at 5:08 pm

@Intechdude300

yup and you can hear the VTEC engagement more in this car ;) Tisk Tisk tho cause the Type S is a second faster hehe

Intechdude300 says in January 2nd 2012 at 5:57 pm

You were right, gets moving much more swiftly than the Accord.
