@EdelSeriman Are you suggesting they finally did something right? Pretty dumb thing to say.

wow

decodebbie says in April 12th 2011 at 3:52 pm

@gustavohvguerra If we can handle men we can handle anything (complex or not).

ravyne82 says in April 12th 2011 at 4:30 pm

@CassAnayadotcom while you have a lot of valid points, I think the point was for when there are cars not lined up perfectly in their own spots. Too many times in the city, you see the cars parked bumper to bumper because some asshole decides to park inbetween two parking spaces. This makes it incredibly difficult to get out unless you have a snow plow… and then aparently you can just plow your way through(I saw that on Youtube once, lol)

ravyne82 says in April 12th 2011 at 5:16 pm

@decodebbie lol agreed. I many times have to squeeze my tiny car in between two big pickup trucks that think its nice to take up their lot and mine. Whats worse is when you were no where near a car, come out from shopping and find cars practically sitting on top of yours on both sides. This would be very useful in large cities where people like to pack in as few spots as possible.

ugh sorry, lack of sleep killing my grammar. Last sentence: “And so either ideas get completely scrapped or they come out later redesigned to fit the era.

ravyne82 says in April 12th 2011 at 6:26 pm

@McLarenMercedes Actually, this one idea was a pretty useful idea. They have recreated it electronically computer driven now, so apparently there was a call for it. However, in most cases, the consumer and manufacturers won’t see its usefulness for many years. And so either ideas get completely scrapped or they come out late redesign to fit their era.

ravyne82 says in April 12th 2011 at 6:37 pm

@gustavohvguerra Hmmm wonder if you could actually handle the additional complexity since you appear to be less intelligent than most women.

Roechele says in April 12th 2011 at 6:50 pm

that is/was a quite good idea

nicothegreat795 says in April 12th 2011 at 7:12 pm

my uncle installed this in his Chevy impala.

cfmmrjeff says in April 12th 2011 at 8:11 pm

Wonder why they never implemented this?

gustavohvguerra says in April 12th 2011 at 8:55 pm

This should be good for women… if they can handle the additional complexity (which I doubt)

mrtoomy says in April 12th 2011 at 9:04 pm

@CassAnayadotcom Thanks. Thumbs up.

McLarenMercedes says in April 12th 2011 at 9:55 pm

Although this looks neat it has numerous of problems. Way less space in the boot. Where do you put the spare tire? How do you change the fifth wheel? A collision is bound to happen sideways when somebody uses this to paralell park. Spinning with it in a circle? heck even this guy touched the bushes imagine something more solid being in the way? What if the car is t-boned by another one while it uses the fifth wheel? We’re talking an insane spinning.

Btw, lowering the wheel takes some time…

McLarenMercedes says in April 12th 2011 at 10:19 pm

@EdelSeriman

Then why didn’t the big 3 in Detroit standard equip all their cars with it if it was such a good idea?

Similar ideas have been shown all over the world even before WW2. None very useful.

Doesn’t matter if it’s got 12 wheels, my wife still couldn’t back into the garage.
